Arrow down appends "7~" to previous commands
Having trouble with some basic command history navigation, whereby going up then down (arrow up, arrow down) through prior commands starts appending 7~
to the end of the commands. Relatively new setup, reproducible with and empty bashrc
.
- iTerm2 version: 3.1.5
- OS version: OSX Sierra 10.12.6 (16G1036)
- Attach com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window)

Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Type a command (
echo 'this works'
) - Type another command (
echo 'this works, too'
) - Press the up arrow (
echo 'this works, too'
will follow the prompt, as expected) - Press the up arrow (
echo 'this works'
will follow the prompt, as expected) - Press the down arrow.
What happened:
The prompt is followed by echo 'this works, too'7~
What should have happened:
The prompt should be followed by echo 'this works, too'
