Feature request: Configurable timeout for remote ssh sessions after sleep/wake cycle
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: Build 3.0.15
- OS version: Sierra 10.12.5[com.googlecode.iterm2.plist]
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (/uploads/f61ea7ce588d739d2b2d34545d6434db/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist)
- Attach a debug log, if possible. Instructions at https://iterm2.com/debuglog
- Are you reporting a performance issue or a hang? Please attach a sample. Instructions at https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/wikis/HowToSample
- Are you reporting a crash? Please attach the crash log. Instructions at https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/wikis/crash-logs
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Use iTerm2 to connect to a remote host via ssh
- Put Mac to sleep
- Wake it later
What happened: iTerm2 takes well over a minute to recognize the remote session is lost and continue the local shell
What should have happened: It would be nice if this timeout were user configurable. For my purposes, I would probably set it to 10 seconds.
