In 3.1beta2, the border color is pinned to the theme
- iTerm2 version: 3.1beta2
- OS version: 10.12.4
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Delete all traces of iTerm2, including the prefs plist and so forth.
- Start up iTerm2 3.1beta2.
- Turn on the border.
- Turn on the dark theme.
What happened: The border is black.
What should have happened: The border should have its color (black or white) choosable independently of the iTerm theme. I was looking at dark theme with a black terminal background (looks awesome!) but the border was forced to be black. If the terminal background is black, there is no point at all in having a black border. I like a black background with a light border.
By the same token, if a user wants the light title bar but with a light terminal background, then the border should be able to be switched to black. I see no toggle to select this. It seems that the border is automatically going to be the same color as the "theme".
Note that I'm not asking for the border to be able to be set to an arbitrary color (though that would be sweet), just that the user can select a light or dark border independently of the theme that affects the titlebar (and tab bars). Borders should be the "opposite" of the terminal background, and the terminal background can vary independently of the title/tab bar theme.
