'Focus follows mouse' doesn't follow correctly
By christophers... on January 27, 2011 21:04 (imported from Google Code)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Open a 2x2 grid of iterm2's.
- Select 'focus follows mouse' option (enabled).
- Move mouse cursor from lower left iterm2 window into upper left iterm2 window. Focus will switch from the lower left to the upper left briefly (I see the cursor in the upper left change from an open rectangle to a closed rectangle), and then quickly switch back to the lower left window. The mouse is in the upper left window when I'm done.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the focus on the upper left window, instead it's on the lower left.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Build 0.20.20110109, on OS X 10.6.6.
Please provide any additional information below.
Unfortunately this bug is very intermittent: sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. I only see it in an existing iterm2 session I have open. I tried opening new sessions with the same 2x2 setup and even tried pasting the same text into the new 2x2 setup as in the old one, and it doesn't see the failure.
If I clear the windows so there's just the basic prompt "~ 687 $" the bug never happens. The bug only occurs if I have text on the screen, and the focus only seems to switch back to the lower left window as the mouse is in the upper right window moving upwards as it passes a certain line.
The text in my windows is confidential company info, so I can't just give you a debuglog.txt dump.
Please let me know if I can provide any other helpful info, thanks!
