Feature Request - warn about or remove smart quotes

In the same way iTerm warns about pasting multiple lines or a carriage-return, I'd like it to warn you if you paste something that contains smart quotes rather than regular quotes. Bonus points if it can run a regex on them. (This is after an issue with an Ansible command where I couldn't understand why I was getting the error message I was.)

Thanks, William
