What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Run bash in a UTF-8 terminal with "Treat ambiguous-width characters as double width" checked.
- Go to the character palette and insert random cool looking stuff like ★
✡ ✢✣✤ into the terminal. (Cut and paste from this issue should also work.) - Use forward and backward arrow to move the cursor left and right.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: the cursor to handle the double-width characters correctly
Actual: the cursor doesn't move correctly
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
