Split windows don't display properly when full-screened
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: 3.0.5
- OS version: 10.11.6
- Attach com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window)
- Attach a debug log, if possible. Instructions at debuglog.txt
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Create a tmux session, e.g. "tmux new-session -s test-tmux"
- Create a split window, e.g. "tmux split-window -h"
- Detach: "C-b d"
- Reconnect with integration: "tmux -CC attach -t test-tmux" (window will open but not maximized)
- Open an editor or pager on each side to fill the pane up with text, e.g. "man man" or "man ls"
- Full-screen the window
What happened: Bottom of text gets cut off. Sometimes only the part that was visible before maximizing is shown.
What should have happened: Screen should readjust terminal size properly to fit screen.
There is a workaround - after maximizing, you can grab the pane divider with the mouse and move it. That will force the panes to resize properly.
Another problem you will find is that if you close the editor/pager to return to the prompt, you may still see text from the editor/pager on the screen. You have to clear the screen to get rid of it (e.g. the "clear" command):
I didn't have either of these problems with version 2 of iTerm - both are new with iTerm 2.
There are also some other problems related to maximizing the terminal but I'll leave those for another bug report.
