iTerm does't follow symlink for preference file and overwrites it
Hi!
I use a separate tool (before that was a simple SH script) to symlink my preference files to a separate folder so I can easily have the same configuration in all my machines and also reinstalling one from scratch is not a pain in the ass.
The problem is that every time the iterm2 configuration is changed the symlink is removed and the node overwritten, so all my setup is useless here.
I know iTerm provides its own way on dealing with preference syncing but I prefer to use the same software for everything rather than doing manual setup on individual software (like this case).
I'm not sure how hard could it be to fix an issue like this since I'm not familiar with ObjetiveC nor the OS X APIs, but following a symlink shouldn't be a difficult task to achieve (I hope).
(I searched for the issue first and didn't found anything similar)
- iTerm2 version: 2.1.4
- OS version: 10.10.3 (also happening in 10.11)
