Setting "Working Directory" to "Reuse previous session's directory" causes "Login incorrect" in new sessions
Required information for bugs. I probably can't help you unless you include this:
- iTerm2 version: Build 2.9.20160313
- OS version: Mac OS 10.11.3 (15D21)
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist herecom.googlecode.iterm2.plist
- Attach a debug log (debuglog.txthttps://iterm2.com/debuglog)
Steps to reproduce:
- Open iTerm settings
- Select "Profiles"
- Select the active profile on the left
- Under "General" on the right, set "Working Directory" to "Reuse previous session's directory"
- Close settings
- Open a new tab or a new window, both should reproduce the issue.
I have tried deleting the plist file, but the problem still persists. I have googled quite a bit, and seen some old issues caused by spaces in usernames. I might be in a special situation here: my username has a space in it, but my home folder does not. My home folder has been moved (which you can do under "Advanced settings" in System Preferences -> Users and Groups -> Right click your username) because spaces in the home folder seems to cause a lot of problems. I will be happy to perform any testing if required.
