Inconsistent naming: Is the latest beta iTerm, iTerm2 or iTerm3?
I've been using iTerm2 for ages, and just discovered that there's a much more recent beta (with awesome features, hooray!) I just wanted to point out some confusing inconsistency in what it's called:
- https://iterm2.com/restoration.html: "the current 2.9 branch"
- https://iterm2.com/downloads.html " iTerm2 2.9.20150626 beta", "iTerm2 version 3 beta release"
- When you unzip the file, it's called "iTerm 3.app"
- When you run it, the title in the Cmd-Tab window is "iTerm 3" but the menu title is "iTerm 2", and it has an "about iTerm 2" window which identifies it as "iTerm 2 Build 2.9.20150626".
- Activity Monitor calls it "iTerm2 " (in contrast to iTerm 2, which it calls iTerm)
Sorry if this just seems annoyingly nitpicky.
