Feature request: Automatic/dynamic resizing of panes - active pane increases in size
==== Short =====
Let's say you split your iTerm2 tab into multiple panes - for example, a regular 2x2 with equal windows. What if I switch to another pane (make it active) and it automatically grows a little bit?
==== Long =====
As the case with many people, I guess, when I open several panes, each has its own meaning/purpose.
Sometimes, I have to focus only on one, for 1-2 minutes, then switch to another. Advantage of having separate panes for me is that each holds "context", pwd and history - kind of convenient. Also, I get used to the physical 2D layout of panes - it is harder to do with tabs, which only arrange linearly and I can probably have at most like 6-7 to have good memory association of tab with function. Tab is more like an organization of panes.
Disadvantage of panes is that while I am active in one pane, screen real estate is not optimally used - because in my case, more often than not, I do not look actively look at other panes while I am working on one.
Currently, as a workaround, I often expand pane full-screen - but I do want to have an idea of which pane I am in - hence not completely full-screen, but just larger than original pane screen allotment.
