Add a command to copy paste with ANSI colors
When copy-pasting from the terminal, we lose the color information. It would be interesting to add a command and associated shortcut to copy text in the terminal keeping the colors and potentially other attributes (bold/underline).
Some things need to be figured out like whether we should keep the background color or not (I would suggest not - I have never willingly pasted text with background color).
The nightly build has the option to copy with styles. It's cmd-opt-C (visible in the Edit menu only when holding Option down), and there is also a setting under prefs>advanced to make copy with styles the default.
Status changed to closedToggle commit list
What about copying only foreground colors? (the black background is not super-helpful :) )
Added an advanced pref in commit 229ff7f. Since you're usually pasting into a text view with a white background, light-colored text is hard to read. So the default is to include the background color.
This will be in the second beta of 3.1 and in tomorrow's nightly build.
