Crash on setting clipboard data

What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Ensure that General > Selection > Allow clipboard access to terminal apps is checked.
- Using zsh, run the command

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: either nothing or nonsense on the system clipboard. The string is not base64 encoded.
Actual: iTerm2 immediately crashes.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iTerm2: 1.0.0.20130319
OS X: 10.8.4
