Hardware sudden shutdown crash trigged by repeated window splits (⌘-D) when in full-screen mode

What steps will reproduce the problem?
- install iTerm2 1.0.0.20111219 on an iMac 2.93 GHz intel w/ATI Radeon HD 5750 graphics card
- press ⌘-N to open a new iTerm2 window
- press ⌘-<RETURN> to go into full-screen mode
- press ⌘-D to split the screen.
- press ⌘-D again to re-split. Continue ~ 2 – 10 times until computer shuts off.
What is the expected output?
Nothing. (Machine does not suddenly shut off.)
What do you see instead?
Machine suddenly shuts off, complete hardware shutdown. (No other app triggers this.)
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iTerm 1.0.0.20111219 on OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)
Please provide any additional information below.
This is on an iMac 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7 with ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB card.
