Feature request: Redesign preferences/bookmarks/profiles
By gnach... on July 29, 2010 15:11 (imported from Google Code)
There are too many different places to configure iTerm2:
- Preferences (cmd-,)
- session info (cmd-i)
- manage bookmarks
- manage profiles
These should all be combined into Preferences. It will be a tabbed dialog, with these tabs:
+Window
+Tab
+Mouse
+URL handler
- Bookmarks
-- Terminal
-- Keyboard
-- Display
Profiles and bookmarks should be merged into one kind of object. You should be able to copy parts of a new-style bookmark to avoid very repetitive configuration if you want to create a lot of bookmarks (e.g., copy keyboard settings only from X to Y).
All settings should be applied immediately to any session of the type changed.
It should be possible to mix different fonts, sizes, etc. within tabs in a single window.
