Temporarily Remove Settings

To back up settings

  1. Go to Prefs > General > Preferences.
  2. Turn on Load preferences from custom folder or URL.
  3. Enter the folder where you want to save the backup in the text field under Load preferences from custom folder or URL.
  4. Click Save Current Settings to Folder.

To erase settings

  1. Quit iTerm2
  2. In Terminal.app, run defaults delete com.googlecode.iterm2

To restore settings

  1. Go to Prefs > General > Preferences.
  2. Turn on Load preferences from custom folder or URL.
  3. Enter the folder where you have saved the backup in the text field under Load preferences from custom folder or URL.
  4. Restart iTerm2
