~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
here (drag-drop from finder into this window) com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem
- Have multiple Desktop spaces
- Use any option which opens a new window, such as CMD-N or pulldown iTerm2->About iTerm2
What happened
Updated to 3.4.5 without problems. Didn't notice anything wrong but I don't know that I opened any new windows since I had a half-dozen already and iTerm reopened them after the update.
Upgraded to 11.3 last night. After startup, iTerm was not open and everything was on Desktop 1. When I clicked to open iTerm it pulled me to Desktop 2. I moved the window back to Desktop 1 and started work. When I started a new window with CMD-N it pulled me to Desktop 2. And when I used Help->About iTerm2 to
I have not otherwise used Desktop 2 at all since the OS upgrade. I am using multi-monitor setup and don't need multiple desktops, I only use them when going mobile. So having every window open on Desktop 2, and forcing me to then move the window back is truly annoying.
Reboot doesn't help.
I do have the control panel option "When switching to an Application, switch to a Space with open windows for the application" enabled. Disabling it does not change the behavior.
I do not have "Automatically rearrange Spaces" nor "Group windows by application" enabled.
What should have happened
iTerm should open the new window on the current Desktop I am using when I hit the keys.
