iterm2 triggers "double ⌘C" shortcut of Deepl when hitting ⌘C once

Deepl application listens on double ⌘C shortcut. That means if user presses ⌘C twice quickly, Deepl window opens and translates the selected text. This works great for all applications, except iterm2! iterm2 is the only application where deepl window triggers after each, single ⌘C.

Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:

  1. Install https://www.deepl.com/en/app/
  2. Hit ⌘C in iterm2 window

What happened: Deepl window opened

What should have happened: Deepl window shouldn't have opened. It's configured to open only on double ⌘C
