Detailed steps to reproduce the problem
close iTerm2 open iTerm2 press Enter press ESC
I have NO Touchbar Mitigations activated. Activating them (have not tested all) does not seem to make a difference.
What happened
You will hear multiple rings. When pressing ESC immediately after opening, there is no ring. The video shows multiple occasions of the behaviour. This happens on the MacOS command line and in ssh on linux systems.
What should have happened
MAYBE only 1 ring.
The problem is that the rings seem to loop, and this severely hampers use of "vi" for example. Every ESC press, you have to wait for the rings to stop (2 secs) before continuing typing.
