Arrow keys stopped working

What happened:
I could use the arrow keys perfectly. In my local terminal as well an on any remote terminal. I don't know if I messed something up. But i tried removing all iterm files, i.e. in /Applications, /Libraries, etc. Anything including the name iterm, i deleted. Then reinstalled the app. But i'm still having issues.
What should have happened:
I was able to use the keys perfectly up until 2 or 3 days ago.
