Reduced responsiveness while typing (perhaps when two iTerm2 windows stacked on top of each other)
- iTerm2 version: 3.4.0beta9
- OS version: 10.15.6
- Attach a screen capture video if it would make the reproduction steps clearer.
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Open several large windows, perhaps on top of each other
- Try to type quickly
Typing responsiveness is noticeably reduced in recent versions under certain conditions. It's hard for me to isolate the precise conditions, but it appears that having large windows stacked on top of each other makes the responsiveness issue more likely to occur. When it does happen, it feels like you are "walking through mud" as you type. Perhaps either the input or rendering paths get "stuck" for a second or so, then manage to catch up.
What should have happened:
Typing should be responsive and there should not be any noticeable delays from press keys to letters on the screen. Typing performance was quite good with the 3.3 series and I believe with earlier 3.4 beta as well, but my memory is a bit fuzzy on the details.
