Option to preserve text color/syntax highlighting when selected
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
It would be nice if iTerm preserved any custom colorization of the foreground text upon selection. For example, zsh-syntax-highlighting is a nice plugin and I would like to preserve the highlighting when text is selected or copied. Terminal.app can do this and would be cool if iTerm could as well. Thanks!!
Love iTerm either way ;-}
- iTerm2 version: 3.3.9
- OS version: 10.15.3
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window) com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Highlighted selected line in both iTerm and Terminal to compare the preservation of foreground text colors. (see below)
- Attempted to set Selected text to transparent or no color in prefs, but this did not work.
