Latest release breaks Rectangle (window management app) integration
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: 3.3.8 (just upgraded from 3.3.something_else)
- OS version: 10.14.6
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist: com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
- Attach a debug log: debuglog.txt
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Install iTerm2
- Install Rectangle (https://rectangleapp.com/)
- Try and use any of Rectangle's shortcuts to move/resize iTerm2
Nothing. OSX makes the standard 'You pressed a button combination I didn't recognise' noise
What should have happened:
The window should have been moved/resized according to the rectangle shortcut.
N.B. The same thing happened with Spectacle (https://www.spectacleapp.com/), which is how I found out that that was no longer maintained and Rectangle was the suggested replacement. iTerm2 seems to be swallowing all the shortcuts that should go to other apps, and I can't find a way to disable that behaviour. I actually very rarely use shortcuts within iTerm2 itself, I just want it to let other things pick up the presses. In particular, the shortcut I was using most often was Cmd-Opt-[Left|Right], which now seems to turn the cursor into a + and want me to create a selection box within the terminal. However other Spectacle/Rectangle shortcuts, which don't seem to do anything in iTerm2, are also not registered by those apps when iTerm2 has focus.
