Master on/off Switch for Global Keyboard Shortcuts
- iTerm2 version: 3.3.7
- OS version: 10.12.6
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Set a visor/hotkey window keyboard shortcut to something used in a fullscreen game
- Launch fullscreen game
- Press the keyboard shortcut
- Note that iTerm2 responds to the shortcut, interrupting fullscreen game
When I start a full screen application (ex: a video game), if any of the keyboard shortcuts (ex: the visor) clash with the game I'm playing it interrupts gameplay. I have to completely exit iTerm2 before I launch the game to avoid this, which is disruptive to any iTerm windows I have open that I may want to get back to after the game. I have several hotkey windows configured, so it would be painful to individually remove and re-add the keyboard shortcuts for each window every time I want to play a game. Hence a master switch would be nice.
What should have happened:
I would like a master "on/off" switch I can toggle somewhere in the options (top of the keys tab in preferences? or a toggle in the "window" menu dropdown, like "pin hotkey window" is?) that I can turn off before I launch my game. This way it won't interrupt the game, and when I'm done playing I can toggle them back on again quickly.
Another option is have the key bindings profile import/export contain the hotkeys for visor windows too, then I could swap key binding profiles (one with the visor and one without). Looking at that export it appears it does not contain visor shortcuts in it currently.
