Have iTerm window title ignore $PROMPT_COMMAND
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: Build 3.3.0beta1
- OS version: 10.12.6
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist here (drag-drop from finder into this window)com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
What happened:
I prefer that my window titles simply be the name of the profile that started them; I don't want them to ever be anything else.
On a lot of machines that I visit, the following variable is set in the /etc/bashrc file:
PROMPT_COMMAND='printf "\033]0;%s@%s:%s\007" "{USER}" "
{HOSTNAME%%.*}" "{PWD/#
HOME/~}"'
I'm 99% sure that this is causing my window titles to change. Is there any way to get iTerm to ignore the escape codes? I'm on dozens of machines every day and they are shared resources; I cannot globally and arbitrarily change all of them.
I was hoping that the new/new-to-me profile option "Title" would override this, but it doesn't.
Any help would be appreciated -- thanks!
