Inactive windows with multiple tabs don't highlight the currently active tab

Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Use "light mode" on Mojave, "automatic" Tabs Theme in Preferences/Appearance.

What happened:

Inactive windows with multiple tabs don't highlight the currently active tab. Things work when I choose "Dark" Tabs Theme, but the "Light" theme doesn't.

What should have happened:

In an inactive iTerm2 window with multiple tabs, the currently active tab bar should have a different colour from the inactive ones.
