Default settings not used when lauching iTerm with osascript
By rednectar.ch... on November 14, 2010 02:32 (imported from Google Code)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Execute the following command: (substitute ip address of 192.168.1.1 with something that you can telnet to)
/usr/bin/osascript -e 'tell app "iTerm"' -e 'activate' -e 'set myterm to the first terminal' -e 'tell myterm' -e 'set mysession to (make new session at the end of sessions)' -e 'tell mysession' -e 'exec command "telnet 192.168.1.1"' -e 'set name to "GwRouter"' -e 'end tell' -e 'end tell' -e 'end tell'
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
iTerm opens with an environment that does not match my Default scheme as defined by the Default Bookmark. In fact, I don't think it matches any of my bookmarks.
When initiating iTerm from another application, it MUST use some default values for screen colour, transparency etc - but where are these stored?
I would have expected iTerm to use the current default Bookmark settings - otherwise, why do we have a Default?
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iTerm2 Build 0.20.20101110
