changing transparency causes ghosting

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. open new term
  2. fill term with text
  3. right click | info ... | display | modify transparency
  4. clear screen.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
There's ghosting on the screen

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Alpha13 ( this was a problem in Alpha12 too )
