Add option to enable/disable scroll buffer repositioning when text is pasted

xterm has the following:
-si This option indicates that output to a window should not automatically reposition the screen to the bottom of the scrolling region. This option can be turned on and off from the “VT Options” menu.
+si This option indicates that output to a window should cause it to scroll to the bottom.
I request that iterm2 have a similar option, probably the default should be the current behavior, which is to jump to the end of the scrollback buffer when text is pasted.
Example use: I add a package to a remote system, which sucks in a bunch of dependencies. I mess with the package, then want to remove it and selected dependencies, so I scroll back and cut/paste each desired package name for a pkgrm / rpm -e / yum erase command. Since I'm selecting multiple bits of text it's inconvenient to have to scroll back after each paste to find the region where I was selecting.
I run with unlimited scrollback size - can you tell?
Thanks!
