Why does iterm2 support character set switching (i.e. ISO 2022 / ECMA 35) when the profile is configured to use Unicode/UTF-8?
Because of this, you can royally bork your terminal with: echo -e "\033(0"
But there is no reason to support character set switching with the terminal in Unicode mode.

Would it be possible to turn this off either automatically when Unicode is being used or have a check box that turns it off?
