Profile Side Menu with Tree structure

I would like a Bookmark menu that works exactly like iTerm 1:
- Command key to open and close
- Slim profile, attached to the side of the single window
- Profiles organizable in subtree structure
I have about 1,000 servers in my iTerm 1 bookmarks and it works perfectly - there is a slim bookmarks sidebar and they are all organized in subtrees. I can have just the subtrees open that I need and leave the other 40+ collapsed until I need them. Each host is a single double click away.
The new method is of no use to me - having to type a hostname to find it to click on makes no sense; I might as well just type the hostname in an existing window with "ssh" in front of it, it's the same effort.
The menu is also very large and takes up a ton of screen real estate - the old slim sidebar takes up much less - and has a bunch of buttons I don't need or want. I just want a list of bookmarks, or profiles as you call them now, that I can click on to launch.
Also, a giant list of all 1,000 servers is of no use either. I'd be scrolling for several minutes to find what I want. Being able to organize them into subtrees, like a file system, is the most useful method.
