Mirror local clipboard for pasting in tmux
Feature Request
Summary
As part of its brilliant tmux integration, iTerm has a "Mirror tmux paste buffer to local clipboard" option that allows for copies made in the iTerm tmux session to be mirrored to the local clipboard, to be pasted into other applications. I'd appreciate the inverse feature – I want to be able to copy text (code, URL, etc.) and have that be automatically mirrored to the iTerm tmux clipboard for seamless pasting inside of vim or wherever else. This would be the tmux equivalent of the new "Allow sending of clipboard contents?" feature of 3.5.
Alternatives
I can work around this with good old "⌘V" but that gets annoying in applications like Vim which have a different paste button.
"Allow sending of clipboard contents?" does not work in tmux; the OSC command seems to be gobbled by tmux before iTerm can request to query the clipboard.
Concerns
There's definitely a privacy/security concern here, similar to "Allow sending of clipboard contents?". Users should be able to select when they want tmux to be able to query their local clipboard.
