After closing tail -f, typed input is not displayed

What steps will reproduce the problem?
- tail -f yourfile.txt
- Then hit Ctrl - C to kill tail
- Now try to type something
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
You should have your standard command prompt back. Instead, the characters that you type are not displayed. However, iTerm is seeing them, because if you hit enter on whatever you type, iTerm executes the command. Even after executing that command, iTerm still does not show any typed characters. The tab must be closed.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iTerm2 Build 1.0.0
Mac OS X 10.6.7
Please provide any additional information below.
Example:
username$ tail -f filename.log
[output from the file]
username$ -bash: hello: command not found
username$ -bash: hhhh: command not found
Notice how on the 2nd to last and last lines, the commands that were typed are not displayed in the output. This is what those lines should look like:
username$ hello
-bash: hello: command not found
username$ hhhh
-bash: hhhh: command not found
