shortcut for split horizontally with current profile (cmd shift D) not working on macbook pro M2 max

Detailed steps to reproduce the problem
- Cmd shift D doesn't split horizontally with the current profile. It does nothing. Vertical split works fine. This used to work earlier so my guess would be that it stopped working after some update.
