Can't display images in org-mode using Emacs
Feature Request
Summary
I am running Emacs inside iTerm2. And inside Emacs I use org-mode or markdown-mode. In documantation I have images in the text. I was wondering is it possible to display those images.
This is related to "Can't display images in org-mode" (https://emacs.stackexchange.com/questions/41706/cant-display-images-in-org-mode).
In the comments it his mentioned that:
Emacs does support jpg/png. It knows how to read those files and turn them into pixel data. And it knows how to draw them to a GUI. What you're asking for is for Emacs to know how to draw them to iterm2's proprietary format, and I don't think Emacs has code for that. Emacs has code for terminals, but not specifically for iterm2's features.
No way to display an image in emacs on os x, outside emacs GUI.which is actually good!
What is the feature you'd like to request?
Today, is it possible to display image in Emacs that runs inside iTerm2?
