Handling the notch on the new Macbook Pro

Summary

I just got the new Macbook Pro with the notch. I have iTerm2 on hotkey, with the style Full-Width Top of Screen. Currently I can't see most of the tab bar since this is covered by the menu bar as you can see in the picture Screenshot_2021-10-30_at_14.26.57.

When entering full screen mode of iTerm2, this is handled better as you can se in the picture Screenshot_2021-10-30_at_14.29.08

My suggestion is that for devices with a notch (and by that has a higher menu bar) the top of the window should always be placed in the same way as when in fullscreen mode.
