Accent characters being mutalated

When Gitter sent the PR to add a badge to my repo (see mj1856/TimeZoneNames#5), the encoding of the page was modified, which mutilated any characters in the readme that had accent marks. My guess is you are using ASCII instead of UTF-8.

For example, "avancée" became "avanc�e"
