Project Management top JTBD validation
What’s this issue all about?
The Plan team's work on Category Scorecards has surfaced an overall need for validated JTBD within the stage. The jobs we identified in the internal issue are a good start but we would like to better understand priority and importance of these jobs as told by users, and better understand the context in which users are completing these jobs and where they map in their journey.
- Phase 1: Review prior research questions and interviews to determine whether JTBD are valid.
- Phase 2: Conduct additional survey or interviews, if needed.
- Phase 3: Validate JTBD with the relevant job performer(s).
Who is the target user of the feature?
- Product Managers
- Development Team Leads

What hypotheses and/or assumptions do you have?
What decisions will you make based on the research findings?
We will refine the JTBD that were added to the Plan stage handbook page. The top 2 JTBD will be used for Category Maturity Scorecard scenarios.
What's the latest milestone that the research will still be useful to you?
This research should be conducted in 13.0, ahead of the Category Maturity Scorecard for Issue Tracking (gitlab-com/www-gitlab-com#7209 (closed)).
