Create a user pool for compliance and security

Why we need this issue

For compliance and security, we will conduct several types of research, both solution validation and problem validation. It saves our time and effort if we create a user pool that matches general criteria and uses compliance and security features in GitLab. We can send detailed screeners to the users directly each time we conduct research.

General criteria to allow users in the pool

• Compliance managers' typical behaviors
  • Create at least one compliance framework (in the last quarter)
  • Visit the compliance center weekly
  • Update any settings in the compliance center (in the last month)
• Security analysts/engineer typical behaviors
  • Create/edit at least one policy (in the last quarter)
  • Visit the policy overview page monthly

Next step

• Contact PDI team for query (Camellia)
• Run the query in Snowflake to get the raw data.
• Gather/synthesize the data and store it safely.
• Contact the user to ask to be in the pool for future research.
• Create a pool of users who have agreed which can be used in the future
