This issue outlines the themes that will be the focus of the Create stage lead during Q2 of FY26.

Expand on complex topics

• Docs: Git, expand info on complex branching flows (gitlab-org/gitlab#536484) rolls over from Q2.
• Docs spike: Branch rules, protected branches, c... (gitlab-org/gitlab#556935) is being led by Brendan, and is in progress.
• Docs: research, document various merge methods ... (gitlab-org/gitlab#546033) rolls over from Q2.

Tutorials and code examples

• Describe using a dry-run merge early in MR jobs (gitlab-org/gitlab!193501 - closed) rolls over from Q2. The SME has been pulled off the project. Amy is discussing with the PMs for groupcode review and grouppipeline execution how to salvage the partially-complete work.

Identify and start page improvements

Cleanups, always cleanups

• Bring groupimport docs up to parity:
