Remove auto closure labels from updated issues
- We use triage policies to auto close stale issues.
- We ask for an update on these issues
- If an update happens we should remove the labels that keep this issue in a state where it will still be auto closed
Policing these auto closure issues is tough, sometimes hundreds of issues will be picked up in one day and throughout the two week window to review these issues manually this can really add up. We don't want to close issues that have been updated since the notice was posted, so the bot should be capable of removing these labels given the right rule. This will also let the users know that the bot is responding to their update. The bot can circle around again when the issue goes stale again
How should we do this?
- If an issue is left alone for two weeks, we should still close it
- If an issue is commented, upvoted, or relabelled, the
updated_at
field will be touched and the bot should react to this
I'd like this to be a stand off process so the bot is only closing those issues which have not since been updated. But we can't react to the updated_at
field having been updated recently because new issues are labelled for auto closure most days
