Test Execution Support Request

GitLab is transitioning to stage groups having full ownership of their tests, enabled by tools and interfaces from DevEx. During the transition period teams can request additional support from Test Governance to help with specifialized test execution.

Please note that this is a special-case to enable knowledge-transfer and identify testing improvements, teams are expected to plan and execute testing to meet their own product needs.

Request

As part of the rollout of https://handbook.gitlab.com/handbook/company/working-groups/secure-govern-database-decomposition/ we need a SET available for execution and verification of smoke tests after our production switchover.

We're performing a rather rare DB decomposition requiring one-off executions of smoke tests to validate changes and determine whether or not to abort the change request. We essentially need a SET to act as Quality counterpart during the rollout, to verify expected behavior once the DB has been transitioned from main to sec. That's pretty much it but does mean we need someone to trigger pipelines and review results with some familiarity. See context in the change request execution plan.

Does this testing need to take place at, or before a specific time/date?
