Create 2-3 Quality guidelines for Feature Readiness Assessment
Problem statement
Engineering teams lack a shared 'release ready' definition for their features and repeatedly run into problems because requirements are scattered everywhere and possibly outdated, causing preventable delivery frictions and, at times, incidents.
They struggle to navigate fragmented readiness requirements across multiple platforms (GitLab.com, Dedicated, Self-Managed, etc) and processes (PREP, security, test governance, performance, etc). Teams often discover critical requirements late in development, causing delivery delays and rework.
The current manual review process creates bottlenecks and lacks early visibility into what's needed for successful feature deployment.
Deliverables
We shall create a set of guidelines in the following project to help Engineering teams with release ready assessment (aka DoD). The guidelines should include short references to GitLab quality practices. See the proposed approach in the linked Epic and Platform Readiness Enablement Process - PREP
