RC version tagged as latest in docker hub
I'm using the docker images for GitLab. I use these in a more production capacity, not dev, choosing docker only because I run this server on a CoreOS instance. I was making some changes and rebooted the server when I noticed that I'm running 8.2.0.rc1 now.
In order to keep up with the monthly updates, I pull the latest
tag before running my container. However, this is not a "dev" instance and I would like to always be running an up to date release version.
Would it be possible to adjust the build flow of omnibus-gitlab such that an "rc" image doesn't get tagged as latest
so that it can always represent the latest non-rc release version?
I'm not fully familiar with the omnibus-gitlab package builds, otherwise I'd submit a MR, but I suspect the culprit might be this line here. RC images could still be tagged, but tagging them as latest could potentially bring breaking changes to a more "production" type environment.
Just a suggestion, I understand if that doesn't fit with your build flow. If that's the case I'll just have to rethink my auto-update strategy.
Thanks.
