Add package for Ubuntu 24.04 (noble)

Summary

With noble becoming available this week (2024-04-25), it would be great to have a corresponding deb created. I See that based on GitLab Runner the package instance is Upgrades with Support for noble being available.

Details

Build and supply packages for ubuntu/noble.

PackageCloud docs (https://packagecloud.io/docs#anchor-ubuntu) report support for noble. Note, that https://packages.gitlab.com/docs redirects to https://packagecloud.io/docs, so GitLab will need to ensure the version in use also has that functionality.

Deliverables

• PackageCloud supports package, and version detection in installer
• CI includes job to build for Ubuntu 24.04
• Package is published and available from GitLab repositories.
