Cannot upgrade/install community edition using official install script on Debian
We have an on-premise hosted GitLab up and running at version 11.11.3 (community edition), which can not be upgraded.
Steps to reproduce
You would need to setup a proxy server (in our case squid) that has rules following the path of packages.gitlab.com which means, that once you allowed connections to amazonaws.com, which no longer is of any use.
What is the current bug behavior?
apt-get update is the first step to run into error (HTTP 403 error).
What is the expected correct behavior?
A succesfull connection to the repositorys URL established by the official install script.
What is a solution ?
The path of packages.gitlab.com now needs entries in the proxys ACLs which allow for connections to cloudfront.net - it would therefore by crucial to inform users about this change.
