Experiment library as a handbook page
This discussion ties in with the issue template discussion and proposed workflow discussion. After we establish the workflow, we can define the templates for our issues. One of the items on the checklist in that template could be something like:
Add the results of the experiment to the Growth handbook experiment library if you think it's relevant to be made more prominent to the public and others in GitLab.
Things that could be included for each experiment added to this library:
- link to the original issue (SSOT)
- short summary:
- what the hypothesis was
- what we tested + observations
- what we measured + learned
- result: validated/invalidated/inconclusive + next steps
This will all be well documented in out issues but those can be really hard to navigate and establish an overview. So this could also be helpful to us in that regard.
Original proposal from product#59 (closed)
With a setup like this, our issues would be the SSOT for the experiments, their status and their results. On top of that, I think we could benefit from documenting certain experiments and their results on our Growth Handbook page. This way, it would be easier for others to see what we have been up to and what the results were, without digging into our list of issues. We could certainly link to the list from this page for the most up-to-date information. Not every experiment should be documented here as well, just the major ones with the biggest learnings. We would always link to the experiment issue.
