Make the "Buy add-on CI minutes" process simpler and clearer
Simpler: introduce improvements that will change the purchase process so it takes users fewer interactions and less time to complete it.
Clearer: Remove the confusing bits of UI, make it clear to the user about what's happening and what they can and should do and why.
The buying process at the moment (current user journey map) feels very disjointed. We can introduce certain quick fixes to introduce significant improvements. With this effort, we're aiming to reduce the number of clicks required to complete the process to 5:
- Improve email and banner warnings
- Correctly link straight into the buying funnel
- Consolidate the CTAs
- Update the content and styling
- Link straight into the buying funnel (from the app UI)
- Show the warning banners on Group overview, Projects Dashboard, Groups dashboard... (Only to the owner of the group that's running out of CI minutes)
- Customer portal improvements
- Preselect the group that is mentioned in the warning
- Add a CTA that takes users back to the Usage quotas page after a successful purchase so that they can be reassured.
