Messages with mentions not appearing in chat

Messages with mentions not appearing in chat automatically but you can click the unread indicator and the message will appear.

This is probably caused by the BSON ObjectId in the mentions array not serializing properly. We ran into the psame issue with the id field ObjectId](https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitter/webapp/issues/1894).
