Adding the same issue to an epic multiple times results in multiple system notes

I accidentally added the same issue twice. Rather than getting an error message saying something like gitlab-ce#50634 has already been added to this epic, system notes appeared saying I moved it from the current epic to the current epic:

The same thing appeared on the issue itself:
